Can't find what you need? Call us at 0969 272 5514 or visit us at 196 Purok 5, Lourdes, Lubao, Pampanga — we're open Monday–Saturday, 9:00am–6:00pm.

Visits & Booking

Do I need an appointment, or can I just walk in?

Walk-ins are always welcome at our Lubao clinic. That said, booking ahead is best — it saves you the wait, especially for acupuncture and massage slots. You can book online or call us at 0969 272 5514.

What are your clinic hours?

We’re open Monday to Saturday, 9:00am to 6:00pm.

Where is the clinic located?

We’re at 196 Purok 5, Lourdes, Lubao, Pampanga — easy to find with Google Maps.

Is MeridianHealth for children too, or just adults?

Both. We see children and adults — from routine check-ups and vaccinations to acupuncture and massage for grown-ups.

Can I book a follow-up consultation online, without visiting in person?

Yes. We offer an Online Follow-up Consultation for lab interpretation and check-ins that don’t require an in-person exam. Ask about it during your first visit or when you book.

Do I need to see the doctor before getting acupuncture or massage?

Not necessarily — you can book acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, or massage directly. For new or ongoing health concerns, a Medical Consultation first helps make sure your care plan fits the whole picture.

Acupuncture & TCM

What is acupuncture, and is it safe?

Acupuncture is one of the oldest and most studied therapies in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Very fine, sterile, single-use needles are placed at specific points on the body. At MeridianHealth it’s delivered by a TCM-trained practitioner, offered alongside — not instead of — your medical care.

Does acupuncture hurt?

Most people feel only a small pinch when the needle is placed, then a deep sense of relaxation. Needles are placed gently, and you rest for around 20–30 minutes before they’re removed.

What is acupuncture supposed to help with?

In TCM, health is understood as the smooth flow of qi (vital energy) through the body’s meridians, and discomfort is understood as that flow becoming blocked. Stimulating specific points is believed to help release those blockages. Many patients use acupuncture for pain, stress, sleep, and general recovery — always alongside your regular medical care.

Is TCM a replacement for my regular doctor or medication?

No. TCM at MeridianHealth is offered as a traditional, complementary approach alongside your medical care — never as a substitute for it. Our TCM specialist is also a family-medicine doctor, so your visit blends modern medical judgment with traditional options where they genuinely help.

Who will be treating me?

Our TCM specialist is a graduate of the Sydney Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine and a family-medicine specialist trained at the University of the Philippines – Philippine General Hospital (PGH), Manila.

Do you sell or prescribe Chinese herbs?

No. Herbs are a well-known part of TCM tradition, but MeridianHealth does not sell, prescribe, or recommend specific herbs — on this website or at the clinic. If you’re curious whether an herbal approach could fit your care, ask your practitioner during a consultation.

Cupping, Gua Sha & Moxibustion

What is cupping (ventosa), and will it leave marks?

Cupping — known locally as ventosa — uses round cups to create gentle suction on the skin, encouraging circulation and easing tension. Temporary circular marks are normal and typically fade within a few days.

What is gua sha, and is the redness normal?

Gua sha uses a smooth-edged tool to gently scrape lubricated skin along the back, neck, or shoulders. A light, temporary redness ("sha") is expected and usually settles within a day or two.

What is moxibustion, and will it burn me?

Moxibustion warms specific points using gentle heat from burning mugwort (moxa) held near — not touching — the skin. You feel a pleasant, penetrating warmth, never a burn.

Can I get cupping, gua sha, or moxibustion on their own, or only with acupuncture?

Both. Each is offered as an add-on to an acupuncture or massage session, or as a standalone treatment with infrared light. Ask at booking which option suits you.

Massage

What massage options do you offer?

Our menu ranges from a quick Head/Back/Hand/Foot Massage (30 min) to our Swedish, Combination, and MeridianHealth Signature Massage (75 min), plus combined options like Massage + Ventosa and Massage + Gua Sha.

Can I combine massage with cupping or gua sha in one visit?

Yes — Massage + Ventosa (75 min) and Massage + Gua Sha (75 min) are both on our menu, so you can enjoy the two together in a single, longer session.

Is massage only for relaxation, or does it help with anything else?

Skilled, attentive bodywork eases muscular tension, supports circulation, and calms the nervous system. Many patients use it for everyday stress, tired muscles, and better sleep — and it pairs naturally with our TCM therapies.

Packages & Prices

Do you have package deals for acupuncture?

Yes. We offer three acupuncture packages — each includes a consultation, a set number of acupuncture sessions, and infrared light: Package A (3 sessions, ₱4,200), Package B (5 sessions, ₱6,500), and Package C (7 sessions, ₱7,700).

Can I share a package with my family?

Yes — our acupuncture packages can be shared with family members, so a household can enjoy acupuncture care together. Ask at the clinic for current sharing terms and how many family members can be included on your package.

What’s the difference between "add-on" and "solo" pricing for cupping, gua sha, and moxibustion?

As an add-on to an acupuncture or massage session, each is ₱300. Booked on its own (solo, with infrared light, about 30 minutes), it’s ₱500. Choose whichever fits your visit.

How much is a Medical Consultation?

A Medical Consultation starts at ₱600. A shorter Follow-up Consultation for lab interpretation is also available.

How much is an Acupuncture Session?

An Acupuncture Session starts at ₱1,700.

Are your prices fixed, or do they change?

Prices shown on our website and at the clinic reflect our current rates. For the most accurate, up-to-date pricing — especially for vaccines, which change from time to time — please call 0969 272 5514 or ask at the clinic.

Vaccinations

What vaccines do you offer?

A full range of adult and pediatric vaccines — Influenza, HPV, Rabies, Tetanus, Hepatitis, Pneumococcal, and more — administered by trained staff with proper handling and records.

How do I know which vaccine is right for me or my child?

Book a consultation — we’ll check that the vaccine is appropriate by age and health history, and help you choose the right schedule for your family.

Do you keep track of when my next dose is due?

Yes. Your dose is recorded, and we help keep track of when the next one is due.
