Struggling with Stress or Sleep? Start Here.

Racing thoughts at bedtime, restless nights, days that feel heavier than they should — we understand how much this affects everything else. Let's look at it together.

Book a consultation

Stress has a way of following you home — tight shoulders, a mind that won't quiet down, nights spent staring at the ceiling. Maybe you're caring for family, managing work, or simply carrying more than usual lately. Poor sleep then makes everything else harder, and the cycle continues.

If this sounds familiar, the most helpful next step is a real conversation about what's going on — not guessing at solutions on your own, and not just pushing through it.

How our integrative approach helps

We begin with a medical consultation, because stress and poor sleep can have many causes — some straightforward, some worth checking more carefully. Our doctor will talk with you about what's been happening, your health history, and your daily rhythms before recommending anything. Our TCM specialist is a graduate of the Sydney Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine and a family-medicine specialist trained at the University of the Philippines – Philippine General Hospital (PGH), Manila, so this assessment considers both the medical picture and traditional options that may help.

In TCM, restlessness, tension, and disturbed sleep are often understood as signs that qi is not flowing smoothly, or that the body is out of balance. Acupuncture is believed, in TCM, to help calm and rebalance qi and support the body's own ability to settle and recover. Many patients use it — along with massage — specifically for stress and sleep concerns, and find the sessions themselves deeply relaxing. As with all our traditional therapies, this is offered as a complementary option — never presented as a cure, and never a substitute for addressing an underlying medical or mental-health condition.

Your doctor will help you decide what makes sense for you, and how often.

What a first visit looks like

  1. 1A real conversation. We take time to understand what’s been on your mind and body, not just "are you stressed."
  2. 2A proper check-in. Your doctor considers whether anything else may be contributing, and examines you as needed.
  3. 3A plan you understand. Options are explained clearly — medical, traditional, or both.
  4. 4Treatment, if appropriate. Many patients begin acupuncture or massage the same day, time allowing.

When to see the doctor promptly

Everyday stress and occasional poor sleep are common, but please come in — or seek medical care right away — if you notice:

  • Thoughts of harming yourself or others (seek help immediately — this needs urgent attention)
  • Chest pain, palpitations, or trouble breathing
  • Sleep loss that has continued for weeks and is affecting your ability to function
  • Persistent low mood, hopelessness, or loss of interest in daily life
  • Sudden, severe changes in mood or behavior
  • Signs of a medical condition (unexplained weight change, persistent fatigue, fever)

Please don't wait on these — a consultation with our doctor is the right first step, and we're here to help.
